It doesn't restore this capability to Encoder, but what the hey, at least you can capture a video with audio, and Apowersoft's recording options are pretty flexible. I imagine Lin Yang is correct about something not being fully supported in XP, I would suggest trying Encoder 3, It works great for meĭell Lattitude D620 (Laptop), Fresh XP Home Edition (10 days old), current drivers - (SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC) On a side note, I had the issue the video turning to a white screen but that is fixed as well with the downgrade to Encoder 3. Perfectly, other options are speakers and stereo mix. I can select my internal mic, external mic, or line in and they work When I open the settings and click the audio tab I now have about five options to select from.

I decided to uninstall and install Encoder 3 Screen Capture and it works like a dream. Tab I had only one choice whith was SigmaTel Audio, it was selected. When i opened up my cakewalk pro audio 9, i did all the neccessary steps in order to make sure it recorded. i then plugged the uca into my usb port on my windows xp laptop and it seemed to recognize my interface by calling it USB Audio CODEC in the volume control. I plugged my guitar into the line in spot of track 1 on the 1832fx. I routed it from the cd/tape input/output to the uca input/output (like i read on the internet). I bought the Behringer XENYX 1832fx the other day and it came with the U-Control UCA200.
also i thought i could be most specific this way. I saw there were a few other posts about problems with the uca200 but none of which answered my problem.
